There’s a host of popular horse races this week and our resident racing expert and massive United fan Tom Lee has been talking exclusively to our sister site FansBet to give his views, analysis and advice on some of this week’s races.
Tom will be on hand each week for the latest trends, stats and his opinion on which odds are worth checking out. Picking a winner can be a difficult task, especially if you’ve not got the time to check the form, conditions and all the other factors which can make a difference between a winning and losing bet.

Ones To Watch / Daily Betting Pointers
- A winner of the listed Prix Finot at Auteuil last time out when in the care of Guy Cherel, Martaline filly Laskadine makes her UK debut in the opener at Warwick (1.00). Now trained by Nicky Henderson, she will benefit from the help of vastly experienced jockey Barry Geraghty in the saddle – he travels across from Ireland with Laskadine his only ride on the card.
- Some familiar and much-loved names are on show in the concluding Hunters’ Chase at Warwick (3.45), one of which is the Richard Hobson-trained 11-year-old Shantou Flyer. Currently prominent in the antepost market at 13/2 second favourite with FansBet for the Foxhunter at Cheltenham in March, can he pass this audition and book his ticket for the Festival?
- With 46 winners from 207 runners Cumbria trainer Kenneth Slack is operating at a 22% strike-rate with his National Hunt runners in the past five seasons. At Sedgefield this afternoon (1.15) he bids for more success with an outsider, Jokers And Rogues. Can the now 11-year-old capitalise on a handicap rating some 13 pounds lower than his last winning mark?
- An infrequent visitor to Sedgefield, champion jockey Richard Johnson sidesteps Warwick and makes an appearance for a book of three rides. Can he taste success with one or more of this trio?
