Rob Cross vs. Michael Smith
It was yet another week in the Premier League without a win for Michael Smith, meaning it’s now just three successes in 13 outings. He’s up against it facing the second-best player in the world and indeed, he trails 11-3 in his head-to-head meetings with Rob Cross. Voltage is only behind MVG in the PL table, winning eight of his matches so far and arrives this week with confidence up following a semi-final finish at the German Darts Open on the weekend.

Peter Wright vs. Mensur Suljovic
Of the remaining players left, Peter Wright has the fewest wins to his name in this year’s Premier League with just two. And 8-4 defeat to Daryl Gurney last week was his sixth and that poor form is showing little sign of turning around following a 6-1 defeat to Dave Chisnall in the 3rdround in Germany. Mensur Suljovic, meanwhile, will be motivated as he chases a play-off spot and has won 9 of his last 11 meetings with Snakebite, so is and obvious choice.

Daryl Gurney vs. Michael van Gerwen
Another week and another title for mighty Michael van Gerwen. However, three of his victories in Germany required final leg deciders, while last week he could only draw with James Wade, so we’re certainly interested in taking on the handicap line. Daryl Gurney is certainly capable of keeping it closer than the 3.5 handicap suggests and indeed, Superchin has actually won his last two meetings with MVG – 7-5 and 11-9.

James Wade v Gerwyn Price
With the top two clear, these two are locked on 15 points and currently hold the second two play-off spots, though Mensur Suljovic is hot on their heels with the same points total but a worse off set differential – Gerwyn Price is only one set better off than the Austrian, but James Wade is 10 better. This is reward for the Englishman’s overall consistency, which was on show as he averaged 103.66 in his draw with Michael van Gerwen last week. Over the past 18 months, the Machine has won 72% of his matches compared to Price’s 63%, while he also leads their head-to-head W6-D1-L3.
