Manchester United prepare to face rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford on Wednesday night stuck between a rock and a hard place.
A win could see the Red Devils scupper City’s chances of becoming the first team to retain the Premier League title since United did so a decade ago, but that would mean another arch-enemy, Liverpool, get their hands of the top prize.
First and foremost, though, United need three points in the battle to secure a top-four finish and Champions League football for next season. And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men can take inspiration from past Premier League victories over City.
